I googled “journal prompts” and this is the first thing I saw. Funny. I don’t hide much on this page, so let’s dive into it.
Lately, I’ve been having a big issue with balance and exhaustion. I’m always tired and never seem to accomplish as much as I want. I’d love to blame this solely on ADHD, but I need to really work on it. When I am in a workspace, I will run out the clock and fill it with work. When I get to my job at 8:00am, I’m in work mode until I end my shift at 5:00pm. Thank goodness I can work on my personal work in my downtime, otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have a website to begin with. As soon as I leave the building, my work brain is turned off. Does anyone else do the same thing? I want to get better at keeping the momentum going. I’ve been holding myself more accountable with a self-improvement app I use, however, sometimes that isn’t really enough to cut it. I’d like to work on this more. No more napping on work evenings. I need to stop closing out all my tabs, especially when things aren’t finished.
These are decent goals to set for myself, however there needs to be awareness of the alternative scenario I also face: focusing on work at the wrong time. During this week, I’ve found myself checking work emails at camp, thinking about website ideas while trying to enjoy a day in Boston with Tommas. This isn’t healthy either.
