It’s no secret that I make a lot of designs at work. It’s probably 75% of what I do. I love it. I get the chance to enhance my skills, show my work, and get feedback. This group I work with is incredibly talented and always helpful. Getting to broaden my skillset has been a great opportunity. Sometimes, with too many opportunities comes frustration. With the amount of technology available today, sometimes it can be overwhelming. I’m grateful for the tools I’ve been able to use, but sometimes have so many can create a creative block.
This is a contest image I created for 98.9 WCLZ last year. To this day, it’s still one of my favorite designs. The colors did most of the work, honestly. One of my coworker s and I just sat back to enjoy the flow of this. I’m really proud of this one.

No one is more surprised than I am that most of the clothes I have on now are pretty new. I love old clothes and hand-me-downs. Today’s outfit it strangely new. Let’s break it down.
Shirt: Crewneck tee shirt – From Duncan’s Clothing in Pigeon Forge, TN. Purchased in April of 2024.
Shorts: Comfy sweatshorts – From Family Dollar in Standish, ME. Purchased May of 2024.
Socks: Xtemp – From Champion in Pigeon Forge, TN. Purchased in April of 2024.
Shoes: Vans – From Famous Footwear in South Portland, ME. Purchased in November of 2023.
I am nothing when it comes to fashion. I like to dress comfortably. Thanks for ready my silly prompt!
As many of you know, Tommas has been working hard to get his GED. He did exceptionally well and is set to graduate on June 12th from Bonny Eagle High School. I created invitations that were sent out virtually. This design was created with the idea of mixing the graduation theme with Tommas. His favorite colors are purple and green so I added with with the celebratory balloons icons as well.
For those interested, the graduation is open to anyone who would like to come in support of him. If you’re far away or can’t make it, I plan on hosting a Live Stream of the commencement. Let me know if you’d like to be invited to that.

I’ve been trying to make some adjustments to my attitude lately. So far, 2024 has been frustrating, depressing, and I’ve felt downright shitty about it. I need to knock that off. In the spirit of that, I found a prompt of listing three things I’m excited for. Let’s do it.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep a positive mind set when life gets stoic. Luckily, there are always little things in life to bring excitement to life.
How annoying has it been for the last several months having to type phoebedyerportfolio.wordpress.com? It’s been a pain for me, anyways. Luckily, I’ve gotten to opportunity to upgrade this and make it way easier to remember. I officially own phoebedyer.com! I’m so excited for this change. It’s a simple change, don’t get me wrong, but it’s going to make life so much easier for folks who want to see my work and check out what I’ve been doing.
To those who have been here since the beginning of my website, thank you so much! I appreciate all the likes and shares, or even just clicking and reading. Thank you! I’m excited for the next batch of content coming your way. Despite being without proper recording equipment, everyone has been very supportive and I’m very grateful.
For easier memory, don’t forget to bookmark phoebedyer.com!
Part of my journey of self-improvement is reflecting on my gratitude. When you’re feeling down, sometimes it’s hard to remember all the positives. I’ve challenged myself to think of three things everyday to be thankful for. Here are today’s three.

Tomorrow marks the 8 year anniversary of starting my first job at Texas Roadhouse. One of my biggest personality traits is that I worked there off and on for about four years. It was my first job. It was a fun job. I’m glad I had that job. I met so many terrific people. I got to work at two different locations. I gained many skills along the way. I’m very grateful for the time I spent working there. Most of it was just work but there were some fun memories I made that I’d like to share.
As some of you may heard, the Texas Roadhouse in Scarborough caught fire on January 25th. I felt conflicted that day. On one hand, I had some of my toughest days in that building. But it felt like a piece of me fell out. I created some eternal bonds there. I learned some excellent skills and gained more compassion. My dancing skills are always with me.
Here are a few photos to commemorate my time there.
